EUREGIO III - Final conference, Brussels
The aim of the final conference is to review the key findings of the project and their implications in the context of emerging EU policy and planning for the next period. The conference will give the opportunity to discuss the necessary actions to be taken at SF management and delivery levels to influence SF policy planning and implementation for the 2014-2020 period, at EU, national, regional and local levels. It will also present different ways in which the experience of and learning from EUREGIO III will be sustained.
The objectives are:
- To present the main findings of EUREGIO III drawing on learning from key work packages (scientific background; case study database development; training events on SF and health investments; stakeholder needs assessment and capacity building audit related to the use of SF for health);
- To present and discuss the main implications of the findings regarding the (i) Overarching principles, (ii) Needs, and (iii) Capacity by ensuring that all stakeholder groups can reflect on the EIII observations;
- To arrive at a consensus on policy recommendations and actions that can inform both management and delivery of the Structural Fund process for health-related investments by giving priority to innovative, creative ideas relevant for EU, national and regional levels;
- To present key EC directorates positions on the proposed policy recommendations, actions and future regional support.
- To present different ways in which the experience of and learning from EUREGIO III will be sustained.
Suitable participants could include representatives of the:
- Relevant EC Directorate Generals;
- Health ministries
- Managing Authorities from the EU 12;
- Managing Authorities from EU 15 mainly with Convergence regions;
- Other essential bodies in management structure for an Operational Programme (e.g. Certifying Authority, Audit Authority, Programme Monitoring Committee)
- EU12 and EU15 regions (beneficiaries of SFs)
- Representatives of projects added into the EIII practical knowledge.

The conference is held in Brussels. No registration fee at the event.
